Episode 20 of the Pipe Dreams Podcast hosted by MotoAmerica racers Corey Alexander and James Rispoli is available now. This episode features multi-time AMA Superbike Champion, 2009 World Superbike Champion, MotoGP race winner, and current team principal of the Rahal Ducati Moto team, Ben Spies.

Despite his incredible achievements, Ben was often seen as introverted or standoffish, perhaps misunderstood by many. Now, a decade into retirement, the new and improved Ben 2.0 has resurfaced in the MotoAmerica paddock full-time as a team principal (or “mascot,” as he humorously claims).

In this episode, James and Corey dive into the Texan’s story, exploring the journey that shaped him into a fierce competitor and what he’s learned about life since hanging up his leathers.

Available on all major podcast platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, the twentieth full episode with Ben is out now. Video of the episode can also be viewed on Spotify or YouTube.

We hope you enjoy!

MotoAmerica racers Corey Alexander and James Rispoli are thrilled to share Episode 19 of the Pipe Dreams Podcast. This episode features 2023 MotoAmerica King Of The Baggers and Stock 1000 Champion Hayden Gillim.

Roadracing World MotoGP Editor and Isle of Man TT winner Mat Oxley and two-time World Championship-winning Crew Chief Peter Bom have started “The Oxley Bom MotoGP Podcast,” which will be focused on the FIM MotoGP World Championship.

This podcast is “Misano 2024 – Nature’s Sprinkler Surprise.”

The original podcast can be found on BuzzSprout.com or listened to via other places you get podcasts.

From the Oxley Bom Podcast:

According to Peter, when the Dutch get that sinking feeling in their stomach that tells you something is about to turn into an unpleasant surprise, they say that they are “feeling wetness”. Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini can probably relate, as they called a surprise downpour’s bluff and got away with it. Why? Because it the rain didn’t ‘smell right’. Call it local wisdom, but that’s one hell of an advantage when racing at Misano.

So, what exactly happened? And what other teams should be “feeling wetness” after today? Mat and Peter are ready to hash it out on air! Oh, and Mat has some beautifully diabolical ideas to spice up future races. It’s just going to require a whole bunch of sprinklers and Keanu Reeves’ phone number…

MotoAmerica racers Corey Alexander and James Rispoli are excited to release Episode 18 of the Pipe Dreams Podcast, a special collaborative episode produced by MotoAmerica, featuring COO Chuck Aksland.

Chuck has been the COO of MotoAmerica since its inception and is a driving force behind the current revival of American motorcycle road racing. Due to his low-key persona, many overlook Chuck’s extensive history and heritage as both a racer and a team manager at the highest levels of the sport for over two decades.

From the Oxley Bom Podcast:

Want to be a famous MotoGP racer? Then you’d better start young, move to southern Europe and make a name for yourself. And one of the best places to do that is in Red Bull Rookie Cup.

This week, we invite former racer and journalist Peter Clifford for a chat. For the last 18 years, he’s been responsible for guiding and helping the young talent in the Rookie Cup. He’s worked with people like Acosta and Binder when they were just teenagers, and knows exactly what goes into developing young talent into legendary riders.

What’s the selection process like? How do you make sure that talent from all over the world gets a fair shot? And what does he think about the future of MotoGP, as someone who works with the next generation of riders on a daily basis?

Cameron Petersen – Long Road To The Top

MotoAmerica racers Corey Alexander and James Rispoli are excited to release Episode 17 of the Pipe Dreams Podcast, featuring current factory MotoAmerica Superbike racer Cameron Petersen.

Cameron’s racing quest began at a very young age and has spanned the globe from his birthplace in Spain, childhood upbringing in Zimbabwe, to his current residence in Southern California. The claimed South African grew up around racing under the tutelage of his father, ex-Grand Prix racer Robbie Petersen.

A successful launch to his professional campaign in the South African Supersport series led he and his father to leave everything behind, including his mom and sister, to continue his career in the then newly-formed MotoAmerica series. Like many of our guests, Cameron’s career has experienced its share of highs and lows.

Now in 2024, Cameron is in his second year of racing for one of the most coveted Superbike teams in the series and is a multi-time race winner. After hearing Cam’s story, this achievement seemed like an unattainable dream just a few short years ago.

We hope you enjoy hearing about the immense sacrifices Cameron and his entire family made to make his dreams come true.

Available on all major podcast platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, the seventeenth full episode with Cameron is out now. Video of the episode can also be viewed on Spotify or YouTube.

This podcast is “MotoGP – Everything’s Connected!”

The original podcast can be found on BuzzSprout.com or listened to via other places you get podcasts.

From the Oxley Bom Podcast:

Thinking about motorbike engineering, the first thing that springs to most peoples’ minds are the nuts and bolts: the incredibly complicated moving engine parts, hydraulics and all the other things that you’d entrust a mechanic to fix with his toolbox. But that’s just one part of the bigger picture. Amidst the steel and carbon there’s a verifiable web of wires, connecting and crisscrossing microcomputers and sensors all over the bike. They’re the nerves that drive the metal muscles of the machine – and they’ve been here for much longer than you may think.

In this episode, Mat and Peter are diving straight into the electronics. So get ready for high tension and sparks as we go from the earliest traction control systems to prehistoric data loggers and the modern use of fly-by-wire design. Cheers!

The original podcast can be found on BuzzSprout.com or listened to via other places you get podcasts.

From the Oxley Bom Podcast:

Do you want to know the guilty pleasure of any rider? It’s that split second during a heated battle, that magic moment where you see your opponent’s movements slipping, slipping and then, finally, the crash. Nothing serious, mind you. He’ll be back next race.

But that’s next race. Today, you own the track.

It’s a story as old as time, and this weekend it was performed by Jorge Martin and Pecco Bagnaia at Sachsenring.

But besides the great battles, there are some other incredibly interesting observations to be made. For example, this is the first time in the history of MotoGP that one manufacturer has dominated the podium six time in a row. So what is the secret of Ducati’s succes here? And, going all the way to the opposite end of the spectrum, why is KTM still struggling? Mat and Peter have some ideas.

Oh, and we might make a little diversion to a different type of racing that takes place in desolate deserts…Enjoy!

MotoAmerica racers Corey Alexander and James Rispoli are excited to release Episode 16 of the Pipe Dreams Podcast, featuring special guest 2019 MotoAmerica Supersport Champion Bobby Fong.

Bobby is a seasoned veteran in the MotoAmerica paddock. At 33 years old, some might argue that “Bagger Bob” is just hitting his prime. Known for his aggressive and sometimes unorthodox riding style, Bobby is currently leading the MotoAmerica Superbike championship while also being a staple at the front of the King Of The Baggers class. Additionally, he works a day job during race weekends as Events Coordinator and Racer Support specialist for the gear brand Dainese.

Bobby’s journey to this point has been anything but smooth; he has the bumps and bruises to prove it. Despite the adversities he’s faced, Bobby has always stayed true to himself, his close circle of friends, and his family.

In this episode, Bobby shares stories of his Stockton, California upbringing, turning Pro at a young age, battling his “tattooed bad boy” stigma, and his recent personal growth on and off the race track that has brought the best version of “Fonger” we’ve all seen yet.

We hope you enjoy learning about Bobby’s unfiltered journey thus far. As always, thanks for listening to the Pipe Dreams Podcast.
