No Limits Motor Team will unleash an all-new rider line-up for this season’s FIM Endurance World Championship.

The Honda-powered outfit has recruited Italians Gabriele Giannini, Edoardo Sintoni and Roberto Tamburini to ride alongside Japan’s Kaito Toba as it chases further success in the Dunlop-equipped Superstock category.

As well as being new to Italy-based No Limits Motor Team, Giannini, Sintoni and Toba are undertaking their first EWC campaigns, starting with the season-opening 24 Heures Motos from 17-20 April.

Giannini, 22, joins No Limits Motor Team having impressed at national level in his native Italy and in the Red Bull Rookies Cup. He will combine his EWC campaign with a season in the Campionato Italiano Velocità, which is also supplied by Dunlop.

Sintoni won the Italian MiniGP title in 2012 before placing third in the final Italian Moto3 standings in 2015. The 25-year-old made his Moto3 world championship debut as a wildcard in 2017 and finished runner-up in Italian Supersport 600 in 2023.

Toba, 24, won the first Talent Asia Cup in 2014 before going on to claim several podium finishes in the Moto3 World Championship between 2017 and 2023. During his first season riding a 600cc Honda in the FIM Supersport World Championship in 2024, Toba claimed a best result of sixth.

Meanwhile, Tamburini returns to the EWC after a season away competing in MotoAmerica. A World Superbike and World Supersport racer for several years, Tamburini, 34, made his EWC debut in 2022 and was part of the Team Moto Ain Formula EWC line-up in 2023.

A statement from the No Limits Motor Team, runner-up in the FIM Endurance World Cup in 2019-20, 2021 and 2022, read: “With the new season comes a completely renewed line-up, which marks the beginning of a new chapter for our team, but one that continues a tradition that has always set it apart: to bring riders who had never faced the endurance discipline to this prestigious championship.”

While No Limits Motor Team is intent on developing young talent, it’s also aware of the importance of experience, making Tamburini a key signing for 2025.

“Roberto Tamburini has been among the stars of the international motorcycle landscape for years,” a No Limits Motor Team statement read. “His passion for motorcycling was born at only seven years old. In a short time, he collected successes and records on all circuits and in all championships, building an incredible profile.

“Today he renews his passion for this specialty and chooses to wear the colours of the Italian national endurance team, which makes us extremely proud. Roberto is a guarantee of competitiveness and results, and his presence in our team will guarantee experience, talent and a constant level of performance, key ingredients to make our team even stronger.”

No Limits Motor Team’s all-new line-up will break cover in public for the first time when Circuit Bugatti at Le Mans hosts the EWC season-opening 24 Heures Motos from 17-20 April.

Martin Renaudin will become the latest Superstock star to graduate to the Formula EWC category following his recruitment by Tati Team AVA6 Racing for the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship.

Renaudin was a key member of the Chromeburner-RAC 41-Honda squad that came within five points of winning last season’s FIM Endurance World Cup. The 26-year-old’s potential, allied with his 2024 showings and previous EWC achievements – including completing the 24 Heures Motos Superstock podium in 2023 as part of the 3ART Best of Bike line-up – made him Tati Team AVA6 Racing’s choice to replace Corentin Perolari, who has switched to the factory-supported F.C.C. TSR Honda France for 2025.

Frenchman Renaudin joins forces with existing Tati riders, established racer and compatriot Hugo Clère, 30, a former FIM Endurance World Cup winner, and Swiss Randy Krummenacher, 34, the 2019 FIM Supersport World Championship winner.

“I have five good reasons to be happy to join Tati Team AVA6 Racing,” Renaudin said. “First, they have a very good experience in endurance. They started more than 10 years ago in Superstock, and it’s been several seasons that they are in the top Formula EWC category.

“Second, the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R is a reliable and efficient motorcycle that I know very well. I rode one in Superstock in 2024 and in the French Superbike Championship. I can’t wait to try it in Formula EWC configuration.

“Third, the Tati Team is undoubtedly one of the best private teams on the board. They won the Superstock title in 2018, and since their move to Formula EWC, they are regularly in the top five with two podiums at Spa.

“Fourth, Tati Team AVA6 Racing is the real racing family of the paddock. The father Patrick is the team manager, and the three children, Baptiste is the technical director, Julien the rider coach and Alexandra is in charge of the social networks. The team is therefore really united and their clan spirit is shared by all their staff. This solidarity is a real force in endurance.

“Fifth and finally, Hugo Clère and Randy Krummenacher are experienced, fast and, above all, reliable riders. We should therefore continue to aspire to be at the level of the factory teams. The concept of David versus Goliath is always a beautiful challenge. I thank Patrick and Baptiste for giving me this opportunity.”

Patrick Enjolras, Team Manager of Tati Team AVA6 Racing said: “We are very happy to welcome Martin to our team. Martin already has a great experience in endurance, he’s reliable and consistent. He knows the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R, but as this is his first season in the Formula EWC category he will have to familiarise himself with the settings and specific parts, such as the reverse swinging arm, the big brakes, the Bitubo suspension, the Pirelli tyres. But we are confident on his adaptability. Martin also rides in French Superbike on a Honda, just like Hugo Clère. There will therefore be synergies between the championships and the riders.”

The long-term partnership between Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports, promoter of the FIM Endurance World Championship, and tyre manufacturer Dunlop is continuing – and expanding.

From 2025, Dunlop will become the exclusive tyre supplier to the all-new FIM Production World Trophy, the first step on the EWC’s pathway to the top of endurance racing.

As a result, Dunlop will provide its tyres, expertise and support to every team competing in the new FIM Production World Trophy and the Superstock-based FIM Endurance World Cup, which it has supplied on an exclusive basis since 2022.

Dunlop will also continue to work with teams fighting for the overall victory in the Formula EWC category, which remains an open tyre competition. Meanwhile, the commercial partnership between WBD Sports and Dunlop, which began in 2016, continues on a multi-year basis.

Since becoming the exclusive Superstock tyre supplier in 2022, the category has grown each year with lap times decreasing and the quality of racing constantly improving. Five teams entered the 2024 season finale in contention for the title, underlining the sheer competitiveness of this class.

This has created space for the new entry level FIM Production World Trophy. Competitors will be on track at the same time as the Formula EWC and Superstock riders. They will race 1000cc motorcycles that closely resemble their roadgoing counterparts but with only basic modifications allowed to limit running costs and ensure the new class is accessible both financially and in performance terms.

As the exclusive tyre supplier, Dunlop will share its expertise with every team in the new category and give them access to the same range of Dunlop KR racing slicks as their counterparts in Superstock.

Jean-Baptiste Ley, Motorsport Events Director, Warner Bros. Discovery Sports: “Having supplied the Superstock-based FIM Endurance World Cup on an exclusive basis since 2022 to a very high standard, we know we can count on Dunlop as a tried and tested partner. It was therefore an obvious step to expand our alliance with Dunlop for it to become the exclusive tyre supplier to the all-new FIM Production World Trophy, a very exciting addition to the EWC Pyramid from 2025. Furthermore, we are delighted to be extending our multi-year commercial partnership with Dunlop, which began in 2016 and has helped to strengthen the EWC year on year.”

Wim Van Achter, Motorsport Manager, Dunlop Motorcycle Europe: “We’re delighted to continue and expand our partnership with the FIM Endurance World Championship. Working with Warner Bros Discovery Sports as one of the championship’s Official Partners, we’re excited to introduce the Production World Trophy in order to allow more teams to compete in an accessible and rewarding environment and create an even more thrilling spectacle for fans with bigger grids and more action.”

The 2025 EWC season gets under way with the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans in France from 17-20 April. It continues with the 8 Hours of Spa Motos (6-7 June), 46th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race (1-3 August) and the Circuit Paul Ricard, France-based Bol d’Or 24-hour finale (18-21 September).

One of the EWC’s leading independent outfits, Team LRP Poland has recruited Frenchman Enzo Boulom, Isle of Man TT legend Michael Dunlop from Northern Ireland, Englishman Danny Webb and Pole Marek Szkopek to share its latest-specification BMW M 1000 RR run on Dunlop tyres.

Bartłomiej Lewandowski’s team has also strengthened its long-standing collaboration with the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, which will serve as the squad’s base with students and graduates once again forming a strong part of the pit crew during all EWC races. Technical Director Marcin Kolanowski continues to oversee the preparation of the Team LRP Poland BMW motorcycles.

“We are thrilled to return to action in the most demanding motorcycle racing series in the world,” said Lewandowski, Team Principal of Team LRP Poland and the highest ranked Polish rider in EWC history. “The past year gave us the opportunity to prepare thoroughly for the 2025 season. We’re coming back with a new, fast, and experienced line-up that we’re incredibly proud of, as well as new partners.

“We’re strengthening our collaboration with the Wrocław University of Science and Technology and welcoming Dunlop onboard as our tyre supplier. Their support means a lot to us, providing not only access to prototype tyres but also the expertise of their top technicians.

“At the same time, we’re excited to welcome our new, yet highly experienced, riders. Danny brings a wealth of experience from grand prix racing and the FIM EWC, while Michael is a true legend and an extraordinary athlete whose determination inspires everyone. I’m confident we will leverage our collective experience and have a highly successful season together.”

Team LRP Poland will enter Boulom, Dunlop and Webb for the EWC season-opening 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans in France from 17-20 April with Szkopek replacing Dunlop for the 8 Hours of Spa Motos from 6-7 June due to Dunlop’s planned participation in the Isle of Man TT Races.

Dunlop returned to the EWC during last season’s 24 Heures Motos and joins Boulom and Webb in graduating from the Superstock category to Formula EWC. Szkopek, an EWC regular in the past, joined Team LRP Poland from fellow Polish outfit Wójcik Racing Team in 2023 and has several Polish Superbike titles to his name as well as significant international experience.

Xavi Forés will swap chasing FIM Endurance World Championship success on track to off it as Uwe Reinhardt’s ERC Endurance squad returns to the EWC in 2025.

Ex-World Superbike racer Forés, who rode for ERC Endurance in the EWC between 2022 and 2023, has been appointed Team Manager for the Germany-based outfit, which is making its comeback to the championship following a one-year break.

After almost four full seasons running Ducati motorcycles, ERC will count on BMW power once again. It will compete under the ERC BMW Endurance Team banner and use Dunlop tyres.

Long-term ERC rider David Checa, from Spain, will be joined on the #6 BMW M 1000 RR by Kenny Foray (France) and Illya Mykhalchyk (Ukraine). Germany’s Julian Puffe has been named as the team’s reserve rider.

Although Checa, 44, a four-time EWC champion, is new to BMW power, Mykhalchyk, 28, joins ERC from the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team, which he helped to two EWC race wins.

Foray, 40, steps up from the Superstock-based FIM Endurance World Cup having competed for Tecmas MRP BMW Racing Team for the past two seasons. A French Superbike champion on four occasions, Foray was team-mate to Checa at GMT94 Yamaha when it won the 2014 FIM Endurance World Championship for Teams.

Twenty-nine-year-old Puffe, meanwhile, rode a BMW for Team LRP Poland in the EWC most recently as 2023.

Forés, 39, explained his new role and ERC BMW Endurance Team’s objectives for the upcoming EWC season: “Uwe Reinhardt needed somebody by his side during the race weeks and he offered me the option to be the Team Manager. After many years of racing, it was the right time to move forward and start a new chapter, so I decided to accept this role and to start to work for my future.

“For sure if I use my experience in racing in the EWC and in different championships and from my experience from the past of being a rider in this team, putting everything together it could be something positive for the team. I am also supported by David Checa who has a lot of experience in endurance. Together we are pushing hard to make this project strong. Also, we have support from BMW and Dunlop.

“Hopefully we can be fighting for the top four, top five in every single race, starting with Le Mans. To be honest we were fighting for wins in the past with the Ducati so if we can manage everything well, then we can be in the mix.”

ERC BMW Endurance Team will enjoy factory support from BMW Motorrad and Dunlop during the upcoming EWC season, which begins with the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans in France from 17-20 April. The calendar also includes the 8 Hours of Spa Motos (6-7 June), the 46th Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race (1-3 August) and the Bol d’Or (18-21 September).

Operating from Karlsruhe in Germany, ERC BMW Endurance Team will continue to carry the colours of Prokasro, a German robotics company headed by Uwe Reinhardt, a former endurance motorcycle racer. ERC stands for Equipe Reinhardt Competition.

First Person/Opinion:

By Michael Gougis

BMW’s 2024 Superbike World Championship season was an exercise in domination. World Champion Toprak Razgatlioglu won 13 races in a row, 18 in total and won the title by 43 points even after missing six races due to injury.

But in 2025, the team apparently will have to make do without the special chassis that it developed for the M 1000 RR that it raced in 2024.

World Superbike’s “superconcessions” rules allow for substantial changes for teams that are not doing well. In 2023, BMW did not win a single World Superbike race, with Alvaro Bautista dominating on the Ducati Panigale V4 R. Under the rules, BMW was allowed to race with a “superconcessions” chassis in 2024, which Razgatlioglu took to his second world title.

Right now, BMW is preparing to race in 2025 with the standard chassis from its new 2025 M 1000 RR, said Shaun Muir, ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team Principal.

“We started a plan for this as late as September last year, we knew this was going to disappear,” said Muir at the team’s 2025 team launch. “The chassis was our only concession, and we had already been testing the bike in its full, complete 2025 package in December in Jerez, so I’d say we’re confident.”

However, BMW’s Superbike Technical Director Chris Gonschor said it has not yet been completely settled whether the team can race with the 2024 chassis.

“Based on the regulations, we can carry on (with) our concession parts. There are some discussions about fine-tuning the regulations. In case the regulations will change, our bike will be according to the regulations. Let’s see and wait for the final outcome of the regulations,” Gonschor said.

A final decision on the 2025 homologation for the M 1000 RR configuration is due in two weeks, he said.

With data acquisition an increasingly critical part of road racing success, Gonschor says he is not concerned that BMW will be handicapped by the loss of the Bonovo Action team, which ran American Garrett Gerloff and Scott Redding on satellite M 1000 RR racebikes in 2024. BMW will have only the two factory bikes on the grid, while chief rival Ducati will have eight. But Gonschor said the team would rely on the feedback from the test team and the racing by other BMW riders. Former Superbike World Champion Sylvain Guintoli and former European Superstock 1000 Champion Markus Reiterberger will race an M 1000 RR in the FIM Endurance World Championship series as well as perform testing duties for the World Superbike team.

“I can focus on my bikes and our riders. We have two strong racebikes on the grid and we have the test team in the background. So we can do the work we need to do. Anyway, only one rider can win the race. Only one rider can win the Championship,” Gonschor said.

From their team launch event in Berlin, ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK hosted a team launch event at which the team spoke on their feelings and aspirations for the upcoming 2025 season.

Much is new ahead of ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team’s 2025 campaign, a new version of the M 1000 RR, the #1 mounted on Toprak Razgatlioglu’s bike, and new regulations are set to impact BMW’s package as the German manufacturer hopes to not only defend their Riders’ title, but double down, and claim the Manufacturers’ title as well. Further complicating all this buzz, while he will be fully recovered by the start of the season, it was confirmed Razgatlioglu will miss at least the Jerez test, and potentially the Portimao test as he suffered an injury to his right index finger, crucial for his signature braking style.

TOPRAK #1 AGAIN, BMW #1 FOR THE FIRST-EVER TIME: aiming high in 2025

Toprak Razgatlioglu’s bombshell decision to change teams from Yamaha, which he had won a World Championship with in 2021, to BMW, who in their history had never propelled a rider to a Championship was a huge talking point heading into 2024. A year later, ‘El Turco’ has flipped the narrative on its head, he is the defending Riders’ Champion and it is BMW who are projected among the title frontrunners this year. Hot off the best season in the manufacturer’s history, BMW will look to keep that momentum ahead of the preseason tests in Jerez and Portimao which precede round one in Phillip Island, Australia.

“Normally I wouldn’t use #1, but I did this for BMW, this is a really big team accomplishment, we worked really hard and now we are World Champions,” said Razgatlioglu. “I can feel improvements in the grip, it doesn’t feel super different, but with the new fairing I feel the bike being even more agile, to me this is a big step.”

VAN DER MARK RESURGENT: The Dutchman looks to keep building on a strong 2024 campaign

Shoulder-to-shoulder, he is joined by friend and teammate Michael Van der Mark, who enjoyed a very positive comeback season. Free of injury after struggling to maintain his race fitness throughout 2022 and 2023, 2024 saw him place 6th in the rider championship, winning race day one at the French Round, third at race day two in the Spanish Round, and a fastest lap at race day two at the Motul Czech Round.

“We’ve been building a lot of momentum the last year, we ended the season so strong, and now with the bike new and improved, we should be there from the start,” said Van der Mark. “I have a lot of confidence, and of course Phillip Island is different, but I think we are stronger than last year. I’m really looking forward to it.”

BLUSCH LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEW CHALLENGE: He and his BMW Team set their eyes on the rider and manufacturer title double

Sven Blusch, BMW Motorrad Director was enthusiastic to get the season rolling, while to him the pressure is higher, symptomatic of having the prestigious #1 on the fairing of one of their riders, he also expanded on the higher goals the team is striving for.

“It’s a different mindset we have now, from being the hunters, to now being the hunted, so far it feels really good,” said Blusch. “I think if you come in as the Champion you always want to be the Champion again, there’s the Manufacturers’ Championship as well, which we were not able to win last year, and now we are going for sure for both, we are going all-in.”

TITLE DEFENCE: BMW’s take on this season’s opposition

Team Principal, Shaun Muir made clear that while his BMW garage is highly confident in the talent of their riders and team, goals as high as winning both the Riders’ and Manufacturers’ competitions will be no easy task with the other teams they will be facing off against on the track.

“The fuel flow regulation is going to make in impact for everybody, we don’t underestimate the opposition at all, we know the strength of the other manufacturers,” said Muir. “ We know specifically riders like Nicolo Bulega and Alvaro [Bautista] (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) are going to be very strong, so we don’t underestimate our competition and have full respect for their abilities.”

GETTING AN UPGRADE: BMW will compete with a new and improved M1000RR in 2025

Chris Gonschor, ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team’s Technical Director illustrated how his team are adjusting to a new bike as well as new regulations and the absence of last year’s superconcessions which his team was granted.

“The 2025 M 1000 RR benefits from homologations made to the street bike, including six more horsepower, new aerodynamics, a new fairing and new electronics, adding potential for even more improvements.” Said Gonschor, “At the end of January, FIM officials are coming to Berlin to fully homologate the bike, and we have no doubt that everything will be sorted, and by Phillip Island we will be ready to race.”

Leading independent FIM Endurance World Championship squad KM99 has joined forces with Marc VDS Racing Team, one of motorcycle racing’s most successful outfits.

The exciting new partnership, announced at Château de Modave near Liège, Belgium, this evening (Monday) has been described by KM99 as a “major evolution for our team” and will result in KM99 running under the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team/KM99 banner.

In just two seasons, KM99, which is owned by Gaëtan Schyns and managed by Mario Küpper, has become a leading EWC entrant, finishing in the top 10 in the Suzuka 8 Hours and claiming a podium finish in the Bol d’Or 24-hour race.

Marc VDS Racing Team was founded in Belgium in 2009 by Marc-Oswald van der Straten-Ponthoz and has achieved considerable success competing on two wheels and four.

Its partnership with KM99 marks its first foray in the EWC, which is promoted by Warner Bros. Discovery Sports under a long-term alliance with governing body Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme and consists of two 24-hour races and two races run for eight hours, including the 8 Hours of Spa Motos in Belgium.

A communication from KM99 read: “The year 2024 ended exceptionally well for KM99 with a second place at the Bol d’Or, allowing the team to secure fourth place in the Endurance World Championship, as the first private team. This remarkable result boosted us and pushed us to think about the best strategy to go even further in 2025.

“After many discussions with Yamaha and the Marc VDS team, we are proud to announce a major evolution for our team. The objective is clear: to aim for excellence and fight for the title against the various factory teams. Being able to join the great Marc VDS family, which has dominated Moto2 for many years with three titles, while also having left its mark on MotoGP and MotoE, represents a real motivation and immense pride for us.”

While KM99’s expert technical team remains unchanged, its rider line-up has been further strengthened with the recruitment of young Italian Alessandro Delbianco as back up to existing race riders Randy de Puniet, Jérémy Guarnoni and Florian Marino from France.

Delbianco, an FIM Superbike World Championship racer, made his EWC debut in the Dunlop-equipped Superstock category in 2024, making two appearances with Yamaha-powered Pitlane Endurance – JP3. De Puniet, Guarnoni and Marino are established among the elite of current EWC racers with Guarnoni part of the Team SRC Kawasaki France line-up that won the 2018-19 EWC title.

KM99’s communication continued: “We are satisfied to maintain our current trio, which has proven its effectiveness. We are still strengthening the team with the arrival of a fourth pilot. Knowing the Yamaha R1 perfectly, Alessandro will bring all his experience to help us reach our ambitions. Niccolò Canepa appointed Road Racing Sporting Manager, Motorsport Division, Yamaha Motor Europe

Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. (YME) is pleased to announce that Niccolò Canepa will assume the role of Road Racing Sporting Manager, Motorsport Division, Yamaha Motor Europe with immediate effect. Mr Canepa will take over responsibility for Yamaha’s Road Racing sporting operations from Andrea Dosoli, who has been appointed Division Manager, Motorsport Division, Yamaha Motor Europe.

Mr Canepa currently holds the role of Rider Coach and Development Rider for Yamaha Motor Europe’s WorldSBK project, which he conducted alongside racing for Yamaha’s Official Endurance World Championship (EWC) Teams, first with GMT94 Yamaha and then Yamaha Austria Racing Team.

Having raced in MotoGP, WorldSBK, Moto2, WorldSSP and MotoE, as well as becoming the most successful Italian EWC rider in history, Canepa boasts an illustrious career of World Championship motorcycle racing spanning over 20 years.

He first joined Yamaha in 2016, racing in EWC and assuming the role of WorldSBK test rider. Twice an Endurance World Champion with Yamaha, Canepa announced his retirement from professional racing earlier this year, taking part in his final EWC race at the Bol d’Or, contributing to Yamaha’s victory in the EWC manufacturers’ championship.

Canepa’s role as Road Racing Sporting Manager will see him oversee the sporting side of Yamaha Motor Europe’s WorldSBK and EWC efforts, while Riccardo Tisci (YME Motorsport Road Racing Technical Manager) will continue to oversee the technical side of the projects, with both reporting into Andrea Dosoli, Division Manager, Motorsport.

Andrea Dosoli, Division Manager, Motorsport Division, Yamaha Motor Europe

“We are very happy that while Niccolò is retiring from racing, he will remain in the Yamaha family in the role of Road Racing Sporting Manager. After nine seasons with Yamaha racing in EWC and as our Development Rider for WorldSBK, Niccolò knows both the WorldSBK and EWC projects very well. In his role as Rider Coach, he has shown excellent people and management skills, which will serve him well as he steps up to the next level. He already has very strong relationships with our teams, riders, the FIM and championship promoters, so I am confident that Niccolò, together with Riccardo Tisci, who will continue to oversee the technical side of our road racing projects, will make a strong management team.”
