Clubhouse is expanding its clips to all iOS users and introducing a new link option to share conversations with other platforms.

Clubhouse announced the extension of its recently launched Clips feature to all iOS users and the addition of a new sharing feature that allows users to share links to parts outside of the live audio app.

In case you missed it, Clips is a new feature recently released in beta that allows users to share 30-second audio clips from public rooms. When users tap the new scissor icon, Clubhouse makes the last 30 seconds of an audio chat available for sharing outside of the platform.

Salvation! good news! we’re rolling out Clips for everyone on iOS, right now.

Beta testing started about two weeks ago and Clips is now available to all iOS users, but is not yet supported on Android devices.

In an effort to attract more users from other platforms, Clubhouse is also adding QR codes on shared clips, which connect users from different platforms to live rooms when they are broadcast live.

The new option will significantly help overcome the challenges of discovery. With 700,000 theaters broadcast every day, providing a way to inform potential listeners with a direct link can prove to be very convenient, especially among users who share a common interest.

Additionally, Clubhouse is also introducing a new link sharing option that offers direct access to private rooms – providing direct connection to Clubhouse chats. The feature announcement states that “A lot of people told the team that it would be great if you could just grab a private Clubhouse room link and drop it in a calendar invitation similar to a phone call or video chat. Now you can. with Clubhouse Links Users can share this private link with their friends, family, or just about anyone you want to chat with on a regular basis.

When you press “Share a room link”, users can redirect their followers and friends outside of the app to the live chats of interest to them.

Links can also be reused to bring a group together around a topic of conversation. To enter a Clubhouse link, the user can press the “+ Room” option in the hallway, then “Put a piece together using a tie.”

The unique generated link is then copied to the user’s clipboard and can be pasted into a message to a person or group, dropped into a calendar invitation, or added to an event list anywhere. Only people with the link will be able to join the private room, and the host will receive a notification each time a guest joins the room.
