‘Link Click’ Season 2 Announced, New Visual

Click on the link, an anime about vigilante time-jumping investigators and one of the hottest new shows of 2021, is officially getting a second season. When we last saw Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, time itself is unraveling. Chinese video-sharing site bilibili, which premiered the first season alongside Funimation internationally, has announced that Click on the link will receive a second season and that the site will hold a conference on November 20 to share more information.
In the show’s first season, Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang used their time travel abilities to help clients, from clueless parents to corporate rivals, and it was a hit. First season of Click on the link (a.k.a Dailir of Shiguang) is currently #23 on My Anime List’s Best Anime of All Time.
The series synopsis elaborates on the unique twist on time travel in the original net animation:
“In a small shop called ‘Time Photo Studio’, the two friends perform a special service: using their extraordinary powers which allow them to enter photographs, they jump into the images that customers bring to them to grant their wishes. Through the eyes of the photographer, they experience the events surrounding the photo and try to decipher how to resolve their client’s request.
The first season ended with a big cliffhanger as the friends and accomplices realized that actors with far more reckless goals and dangerous agendas had similar powers, and their good intentions got in the way of those machinations.
Along with the Season 2 announcement comes a new visual depicting the strained relationship between Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang as their ideals continue to diverge.
Studio Lan, which produced the first season alongside Chinese studio Haoliners Animation League, shared the news with the visual in an overnight tweet.
Click on the link season 1 was streamed in Mandarin Chinese with English subtitles via Funimation. A Japanese dub has been announced for January 2022.
